ABOUT THE CENSUS
For the black community, the U.S. Census data impacts funding
in critical areas, including education, housing assistance, health services, and programs
that support black-owned businesses.
This Census will collect data that gives power to our fight for equality and access to federal funding so fair and accurate allocations of federal funds make it to the areas that need it most.
Participation is simple:
On June 19, 2020, business owners will have access to complete a short survey; and
Share the website with other black-owned businesses in the area.

The Black Business Census demonstrates the power of collective spending by black people and our allies. Through the use of business reporting we can quantify how economically strong we are as a community.

Partnering organizations will commit to share marketing materials as it relates to the Black Business Census, encourage black-owned businesses to get listed in the VA Black Business Directory (VABBD), and most importantly, encourage black business owners to complete the survey
